What You Need to Know

How do I care for my new tattoo?

Keep film on for seven days, as long as no problems arise.

Watch for air bubbles. If they are under the film, but don't reach the edges it's fine. However, if the bubbles cause the tattoo to be exposed to the outside air, the film must be removed. Keep an eye on the outer edge of the film, if it turns red or starts to welp, remove the film.

To remove film, run under warm water for 2-3 minutes.

Then peel up an outer corner and slowly pull away from the tattoo, letting warm water run in behind the film.

Once the film is off, go to washing it twice a day, with antibacterial soap. Use your hand, not a washcloth. Also, twice a day use a small amount of Cetaphil, CaraVe lotion, or a high-quality aftercare product, such as a quality cocoa butter or vitalitree aftercare. Try to keep it out of direct sunlight.

Do not soak.

Do not pick, scratch, or shave.

3 weeks is preferable, especially if getting into a body of water.

How old do I have to be to get a Tattoo?

You must be at least 18 years of age. It is against Texas State law (Section 146.012) to tattoo a minor, even with parental consent. Not only must you be 18, but you also have to provide proof in the form of a valid State or Federal Photo ID. No exceptions.

How much does a tattoo cost?

It depends on the artist, our minimum is $100. The final price is dependent on size, detail of the design, and the location on the body where it will be placed.

How can I receive a price quote?

The best way to get an accurate price range is by booking a (free!) in-person consultation with the artist. If an in-person consult is not possible prior to the scheduled work, a thorough and detailed email regarding your requests may suf ice. In order for us to quote your idea, we need to consider the subject, size, placement on the body, detail, etc. You are also welcome to come into the shop and talk to one of our artists, if they’re available. We’re always more than happy to help you

Does it hurt?

Yes! But in in a good way. Your brain releases endorphins when you go through pain and your body loves endorphins, so yes, it hurts, but you’ll kinda like it.

what forms of payment are accepted?

We accept cash or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). No checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if I decide to schedule an appointment?

Yes. A $100 deposit is required to make an appointment. Deposits are non-refundable and will be applied to the final price of your tattoo.

How should I prepare for my new tattoo?

We recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated. If you start to feel woozy, have a soda. Sugar is your friend in this situation. It’s best not to party the night before because alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours. Blood also dilutes our pigments,
af ecting both the appearance of your tattoo as well as the healing process. Remember to stay calm and cool, you’re in good hands.
